Amalfi Coast Wedding

If you have never experienced the Amalfi Coast of Italy, or, more specifically if you have never visited the ancient town of Amalfi, perched like a delicate multi-colored bird on the side of a mountain overlooking the beautiful blue Mediterranean, then you have never experienced Italy.
Why not hold your wedding in Amalfi, the wedding chapel of the gods!
There are few towns in the world which can compare to Amalfi in beauty or in charm or in romance. Amalfi is so unique and so beautiful that the ancient gods themselves had their marriages performed in Amalfi and nowhere else. And it’s easy to understand why.
Amalfi climbs from the soft and gentle shore of the warm Mediterranean and up the side of a steep hill, each colorful building clinging as if by magic to its impossible, storybook perch.
The people of Amalfi are as warm and as inviting to newlyweds as the warm and inviting Mediterranean which gave birth to this ancient town that the gods so adored.
The town of Amalfi welcomes wedding couples with open arms. Whether you wish to have a beautiful civil wedding in one of the most astonishing civil wedding halls on Earth, or you dream of a glorious Catholic ceremony in one of the world’s most ornate churches, Amalfi has it all!
With every turn you make along Amalfi’s narrow cobblestoned streets you find surprising gardens and breath-taking view after view of the mighty Mediterranean Ocean. And yet Amalfi also has some of the finest and most modern hotels you’ll find anywhere, affording you the best of both worlds, the romantic old-world charm of the Middle Ages wrapped in the convenience of the modern world.
Your wedding in Amalfi can be anything you can imagine, from a 10 century Cathedral to the ballroom of the most modern five star hotel.
In the Amalfi region you have your choice of storybook wedding locales, from ancient Renaissance Churches to magnificent art-filled cathedrals, to stunning villas with breath-taking views, to medieval castles to luxury hotels. In the town of Amalfi itself you can be married in a breath-taking 10 century Cathedral, unlike any other Cathedral in the world.
Your religious service can be held in one of the oldest and most beautiful churches left in the world – and your civil ceremony will be conducted in a wedding hall like no other.
You can arrange for either a religious service or, as is more common, a magnificent civil service followed by the religious service of your choice. Keep in mind that a civil service in the town of Amalfi is like no other civil service in the world. The town hall is in an ancient and art-filled building with weddings held in a magnificent wedding hall with huge windows over-looking the Mediterranean. It is quite possible that your service will be performed by the Mayor of Amalfi himself and it is common for the bride and groom to be allowed to include their own wedding vows – plus, it is possible to arrange for ceremonies to be conducted in English, something not permitted in many other parts of Italy.
From ancient times until the present Amalfi has been the scene of countless happy marriages, from mortals to the gods of old – why not bring your deepest dreams and fantasies to life and plan today to have your wedding in the home of the gods, Amalfi.

Destination Weddings in Positano

Small pastel houses hang almost miraculously from steep hills dropping vertically into the sea. Bright purple and red bursts of bougainvillea bushes contrast with the white and pastel colours of the buildings. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its majolica tile dome can be seen from everywhere and is an ideal setting for a Catholic wedding in Positano.
At the top of Positano is one of Italy's favourite civil wedding halls where, weather permitting (and it usually does here!), you can marry on a terrace overlooking the bright blue sky and an incredibly blue ocean.
Needless to say, wedding photos in Positano will be the highlight of the event. Flowering gardens hidden in luxury villas and palaces are just one of the possible backdrops for your wedding album. The beach at the feet of Positano with the majestic cathedral in the background is another. At every corner there is a unique view your photographer will take advantage of.
For an unforgettable reception there are ocean view restaurants and many elegant villa hotels with gardens, lovely views and superb food and wine. The Amalfi Coast has some of the finest food in Italy and your reception will be long remembered.
Start your romantic honeymoon in Italy with Positano and explore nearby towns such as Ravello, Amalfi and the isle of Capri; you will want to return again and remember this land of sunshine and happy people.

Destination Weddings in Capri

Get married on the tiny island of Capri in the Bay of Naples. The dramatic beauty of its mountains and blazing color of its flower-filled gardens, not to mention the awe-inspiring views on offer from vantage points all over the island make Capri an ideal wedding location.
Bought from Naples by Caesar in 29BC, beautiful Capri has been winning over visitors ever since. The island is a maze of pathways which lead to ancient forts, towers, churches, villas and gardens. The most famous path is the Cliffside Via Krupp, on the north of the island, known as 'the world's most beautiful road'.
Capri has two harbours, the Marina Piccola and the larger Marina Grande. It is possible to get another perspective on the isle by taking a boat tour, and submarine trips are also on offer, to discover Capri's underwater beauty. One of the most famous watery sights is the Blue Grotto, illuminated with a magical blue glow by sunlight that passes through water into the cave.
Another omissible natural feature is the faraglioni, twin rocks which jut up out of the water off the east end of Capri. Of the several mountains, the two highest are Solaro and Tiberius, which stand at opposite ends of the island.
The island has two towns, Capri and Anacapri. The former is orientated around its pretty main square, the Piazzetta. Anacapri is quieter, but both offer world-class restaurants, lively cafés and excellent shopping opportunities.
Capri also features many imperial villas. The largest is the Villa Jovis which dates back to the 1st century and was owned by Tiberius. There are a huge number of sights on the island, especially considering its small size! Make sure you don't miss the Saracen tower, monastery or the magnificent gardens that flourish all over Capri.
There are few more picturesque locations for your wedding photographs than Capri. The island is recommended as an excellent choice for your wedding in Italy.
