Tour of Siena and San Gimignano with Departure from Florence Duration 8h45min

We reach the Medieval city of Siena driving South from Florence, through the beautiful hills of Chianti. Our tour will make us discover the city by walking through its little and narrow streets. We will arrive to the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio and for being one of the most splendid examples of Gothic civil architecture in the world. Here stands the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico with its tower Torre del Mangia.

We will continue on the direction of the Duomo, one of the most fascinating Italian churches in Gothic style. We will visit its interior and the relative Piccolomini's Bookshop "libreria Piccolomini" with its vast naves and magnificent proportions, emphasized by the chiaroscuro effect of the decorations and of the floors. The visit will finish at the Museo dell' Opera del Duomo which houses a number of paintings such as the "Maestà", a masterpiece by Duccio di Buoninsegna and sculptures by Giovanni Pisano and Donatello.

After having had free time for the inevitable pictures, we will set off to San Gimignano. At the arrival to San Gimignano you can choose an Optional Typical Tuscan Lunch with wine tasting/class or, if you prefer, have free time for lunch. After lunch You will have free time at your disposal for strolling around and admiring this extraordinary beautiful place, the magnificent landscape and the unique Medieval architecture of the historical center declared UNESCO World Heritage site.

Our trip to Cinque Terre will be an entire and unforgettable day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most amazing and enchanting landscapes in the world. Five (cinque) villages, suspended between sea and land, a place where we can immerse ourselves in paradise, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.visit will begin at daybreak, with arrival at La Spezia, where we will take a train to Riomaggiore. The village, dating from the early thirteenth century, is known for its historic character and its wine, produced by the town's vineyards. The houses of Riomaggiore lean one to the other on small cobble ways and sheltered paths.will then reach Manarola walking along the famous "Via dell'Amore" (path of Love) which is a romantic and evocative promenade sunken in the rocks falling sheer to the sea. The tiny harbor at Manarola features a boat ramp and picturesque buildings tripping down the ravine.journey will continue to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village considered "the pearl of the Cinque Terre", where we will be overcome by its enchanting beaches and lush vegetation that surround the little town. Here you will have free time to plunge into the crystal sea and to sunbathe, before taking the boat to Vernazza, a seaside town surrounding a little natural port.: -

SAN GIMIGNANO, SIENA, MONTERIGGIONI & CHIANTI FULL DAY TOUR Duration 12h .

Driving south from Florence and crossing the beautiful Hills of Chianti we will first reach San Gimignano, a picturesque, fascinating medieval town declared a World heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its white wine, the world renowned Vernaccia. The visit is free for independent sightseeing. You will have time to wind your way through the narrow streets and to admire the relaxing landscape surrounding the village.day will continue to Siena, the Medieval town with the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio and for being one of the most splendid examples of Gothic civil architecture in the world. Here stands the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico with its tower Torre del Mangia. We will continue on the direction of the Duomo, one of the most fascinating Italian churches in Gothic style. Our local Guide will show us the highlights of this magnificent city.will then proceed to Monteriggioni, a medieval town which conforms almost perfectly to the archetypal mental image most of us have of a walled village. The town walls and towers are almost intact, and the view from downhill is quite astonishing.we will move to the Chianti area with its impressive picture-postcard landscape and in a famous wine estate we will have the chance to taste the best Chianti red wine along with home-made snacks.: -
